Named by Samsara as Fleet Operator to Watch in 2026

Congratulations to Tom Karnowski, USIC's Vice President of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), for being recognized by Samsara as one of the 100 Fleet Operators to Watch in 2026. 

Responsible for the safety of 13,500 USIC team members driving 230 million miles a year across our nationwide operating footprint, Tom is definitely one to watch in 2026 and beyond. A Navy nuclear submarine officer with over two decades of military service, he brought the discipline of layered defenses and rigorous self-assessment to USIC, where he has served as VP of EHS for nearly a decade. He also serves as Board Chair of the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety
