Career & Technical Education 

USIC's Career & Technical Education program provides high school seniors and eligible adults a path to a career in the growing damage prevention industry. Students who complete the course are fully trained and qualified to begin working as a utility locator for USIC or within the industry immediately after graduating.  

Taught by USIC instructors, the program incorporates classroom instruction, simulated locating with state-of-the-art virtual reality technology, and hands-on field training. Students can qualify to begin working part-time for USIC prior to graduating and receive a work truck for performing the important job of protecting critical infrastructure and their communities.  

USIC Career & Technical Education Program Locations 

USIC currently partners with five vocational education institutions in Indiana, Oklahoma, and New York and plans to expand the program to high-demand markets throughout its nationwide operating network.
