USIC Team Lead Matt Knox Named Locator of the Year

Congratulations to USIC Team Lead Matt Knox on being named Locator of the Year at the first Iowa Excavation Safety Summit! Kevin Bailey of the City of Davenport nominated Matt for his work on a major road project completed ahead of schedule with zero damages. Matt’s assistance in identifying the incorrect mapping of multiple facilities, knowledge of the area, and dedication to going above and beyond were credited for preventing significant project delays and potentially dangerous downtime of the city’s 911 call center, which was located in the project area.
